Kenall Adds Revit Files

Kenall is pleased to offer downloadable Revit® lighting files from our website for those of your architecture, design, and engineering clients who use AutoDesk® Building Information Management (BIM) system.

We have initially published Revit files for our line of MedMaster™ Healthcare and Millenium™ High Abuse luminaires. Over the course of the next few months, we will be adding Revit files for Metrex™ Egress, MightyMac™ Correctional, SimpleSeal™ Sealed Enclosure, and LuxTran™ Transportation luminaires.

Kenall’s Revit files allow the specifier to identify location interference in the plenum space, and to create lighting fixture schedules. With a simple click on the Revit icon at the product page of our website, a data-compressed .zip file is downloaded for importing into the specifiers’ database, and contains three file types:

• .rfa is a Revit-native format file
• .txt file that works with the “catalog” feature in Revit
• .ies file contain the luminaire photometric data

These files provide the specifier with data on lamp type and quantity, ballast type, and voltage, along with the IES file and a hyperlink to the product’s spec sheet at the Kenall website.
