The Harris YMCA Aquatic Complex is one of the largest indoor facilities of it's kind in this region.  It has an indoor water park that allows for fun year round.  The water park includes fountains, falling "bucket" of water, two slides and a floating circle pool within the larger play area.

The environment and size of the facility presented a design challenge that was over come using Elliptipar units mounted directly on the wall and pendant mounted from the ceiling. A very open environment is created in which the members are free to swim and frolic in a comfortable lighting environment without the glare normally associated with direct lighting. Members that choose to float on their backs, can view the impressive wooden ceiling and support structure made very visible and actually accented by the lighting. This exposed structure, and use of a natural material, break up what could have been a very "cold" space allowing the members to be connected with the outdoors.
