They use computers extensively for their work requiring low glare and a soothing work environment. The RT5 from Lithonia Lighting was selected to illuminate the main office area.  Dell uses this product extensively at their facility in Texas and we chose to use this product here. This product allowed for an energy consumption reduction average of 42% and a disposal waste reduction of over 75% over the life of the space. This change from parabolics to the RT5 will save both the tenant energy and the facility maintenance as it reduces the energy per unit from 88 input watts to 58 input watts and lamp counts are reduced from 3 in the parabolic to 2 per RT5. The change from T8 to T5 lamps extends lamp life from 24,000 hours to 35,000 hours.  Relamping requirements change from every 2-3 years of operation to every 3-4 years of operation.
