Electrical Distributors Incorporated (EDI) wanted to upgrade their HID Hi-Bay lighting in their Charlotte Warehouse.  There were two key elements in the upgrade - improve the lighting quality and quantity.  Fluorescent Hi-Bays from Lithonia (I-Beam 6 lamp T5HO) were installed by Electrical Construction and Design to compare lighting performance.  After the evaluation, 6 lamp T5HO's were installed in the aisles which boosted horizontal and vertical light levels.  Then, 4 lamp T5HO I-Beams were installed in the open areas. 

Light levels were improved and energy savings are realized from this upgrade.  EDI kept an area with the HID fixtures to show a comparison between the two different lamp sources.
